I am studying the book of Revelation…and this verse struck me…
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood…~ Revelation 1:5b
It hit me very powerfully. I wondered if it strikes you at all? Feel free to check it out in context if you like by clicking here.
What does this mean to you and relative to this journey with regard having a healthier view of food, eating, our bodies, etc., etc.???
Let me hear from you! 🙂
Heidi,You and I are like the divine sisters of the ya ya tribe! I AM EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW…in a vat of frustration from my inability to do what I know is right! To be diligent! Disciplined! Unwavering! But you and I aren't strong separate from God…I just need to open my big mouth before I dive into a plate of cookies! Love you for the honesty!RAIN

In a time when our society is always looking for the next best thing (dare I say cure?), it is hard for Christians to admit that even though we know where our confidence resides, we are still flesh and can be caught up in what society offers. Is it merely research or are we too hoping to 'flip the switch' with other resources besides God's Word. I often find myself reading diet books for, what I call, research. However I too realize that God's Word is all I need, he will provide me with the right thoughts if I'd just turn to him instead of other resources. I am in the same place as you Heidi, thank you for being honest about this. Praying that as we seek His face, his grace will shine upon us.
